Up Early

I've been awake since a little after 4:30...and I mean wide awake. I decided to get up, blog a little, and then turn my attention to the school work due this evening.

Yesterday morning was productive. Even though I didn't catch a wink of sleep, I was pretty much happily awake for most of the morning. I napped for about an hour and a half in the afternoon before Kol got home. I called all the departments of Presby that sent bills from the ER visit I had back in December. One of them was already taken care of by Medicaid. The others I had to give my information to so they could send the bills in. That was big chunk of my to-do list! All I have left to do on the hospital side of things is call today to schedule the birth class and hospital tour.

What To Expect (www.whattoexpect.com) has been more helpful than the OB's office thus far. Yesterday afternoon, after Kol got in from work, I was researching. I read some helpful articles about breast feeding, labor positions, what to ask on the hospital tour, and the fats I need to make sure to intake during the third trimester. I want to do some more research on labor positions, birth options, and breast feeding. Kol and I discussed all of my research over dinner last night so we are on the same page. :-) My next doctor appointment is Monday with a different doctor at the practice, Dr. Barnes.

I finally tackled the task of filing my taxes the other night. It wasn't as daunting as I thought it would be with all the college info to enter. God is that a burden off of my shoulders! I was worried about possibly paying in because the last company I worked for didn't seem to know their head from their ass when it came to payroll. To my shock and surprise they actually did do the paychecks right! I guess it is possible for idiots to get something right, once in a while! LOL

Kol's new job is going really well. :-) It kind of sucks because the pay isn't want we are used to. Something is much better than nothing, however. It is reassuring to see us able to save some money again, no matter how small. The weeks I can make a deposit into the savings account are the weeks I breathe a sign of relief, thinking everything will be alright. It's going to be hard to get by with me staying home with the baby, but we both agreed we do not want a daycare raising our son.

Last night we treated ourselves to dinner at O'Charlie's. Wow, it was good! Our original plan was to eat and knock out the grocery list...unfortunately the grocery list part never happened. It looks like that'll be on the agenda for today. We were so stuffed and so tired last night we decided to just head home. After running an instance on WOW with Bunnies we hit the pillow around midnight. You would think I'd still be sleeping, but for some reason my body said it was time to get up at 4:30. I'm sure I'll end up taking another hour nap this afternoon.

We did run into Wally World after dinner to grab bottled water. I go through that stuff so fast nowadays! We ended up walking through the baby section. The rocking chair and crib I want aren't carried in-store. Once my taxes hit the bank it looks like I'll be ordering them. The plan is to junk the recliner in favor of the rocking chair with ottoman. I really don't want to say good-bye to this beast of a chair, even though it's time came a year or two ago. The thing is practically falling apart and it really isn't practical. We don't have the room to keep it and get the rocking chair. I've been posting the sofa on Craig's List. It's just too big for the living room, and we both hate it. We only sit on the thing when we absolutely have to!

Well, I should probably start working on my school work while it is quiet this morning. Maybe it'll make me sleepy so I can go back to bed and catch a couple more Z's...
